Mobile App Access Control
HP Insights allows administrators to centrally control access to the HP Secure Print mobile app. Using Mobile App Access Control, you can decide whether users are allowed to register and use the mobile app and clearly see which mobile features are available in your tenant.
This helps ensure mobile access aligns with your organization’s security policies and licensing.
You can find Mobile App Access settings under Account Settings > Secure Settings > Mobile in the web console.
Enable Mobile Access
The Enable Mobile Access toggle controls whether end users can register and use the Secure Print mobile app. This setting provides a single point of control for enabling or disabling mobile access across your environment.
-
When ON — end users can register their mobile device with the HP Secure Print desktop app. New customers have this enabled by default.
-
When OFF — end users cannot register new mobile devices via SSO. Users already logged in won't be immediately logged out, but will eventually lose their session.
Mobile Features (Enabled and Disabled)
Below the Enable Mobile Access toggle, the Mobile Features section shows a read‑only list of mobile app capabilities and their current status.
View enabled and disabled mobile features
The Mobile Features section shows which Secure Print mobile app capabilities are currently available to users and which are disabled. This view is read‑only and helps administrators understand the current mobile experience without changing settings.
Enabled mobile features
The Enabled list shows mobile app capabilities that users can currently access. A feature appears as enabled when it is supported by your tenant configuration, allowed by your security settings, and covered by your licensing
Disabled mobile features
The Disabled list shows mobile features that are not currently available to users. Features may be disabled if they are not configured in the tenant, restricted by policy, and not enabled by licensing or feature availability. This list helps administrators quickly identify why certain mobile app functionality may not be available.
Each feature (where applicable) includes a clickable link that takes the admin directly to the relevant configuration section. When a feature is toggled on/off elsewhere, it moves dynamically between the Enabled and Disabled sections.
